There are number of educational institutions and industries surrounding this local area, but no significant facilities are available in the surrounding where academicians, researchers, technologists can get together and share their views & experiences about new techniques and applications of various instruments in research under one roof. In order to cater the needs of all the departments for sophisticated instruments at our campus, Central Instrumentation Laboratory was established in April 2011.
CIL is located in the premises of central workshop. All students, researchers and faculty members from various science and engineering departments of the university and its affiliated colleges are free to avail the services of CIL as per the guidelines laid by the Committee of the CIL. These guidelines are regularly reviewed from time to time. While outside users from Industries, Research & Development Organizations and other educational institutions can be allowed to avail this facility with permission as per guidelines.

1st workshop on “Recent Analytical Advanced Developments in Applied Sciences:
A workshop on “Recent Analytical Advanced Developments in Applied Sciences” was organized by Central Instrumentation Laboratory at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science & Technology on 13-14 August 2012. Nearly 170 scholar and other dignitaries were registered through mail & on spot in the workshop. The inaugural session started with the welcome note & a brief introduction about the central instrumentation laboratory by Coordinator CIL & coordinator workshop Dr Satish Khasa. Hon’able Vice chancellor Er. H S Chahal chief guest for the inaugural session said that we should focus more on team work in addition to personal ones. He also told about day & night lab, the clean lab concept & emphasised to adopt the best practices. On this occasion, Prof B P Singh Dean Academic Affairs emphasized on the need to improve facilities for research in Science.
Overall the workshop was a great success.
Inauguration of CIL: The new campus was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor on 06/05/2013. It has been developed in existing workshop area. It spreads in nearly 5000 sq. feet and consists five division:
First – Office of the coordinator.
Second – Demonstration cum meeting room.
Third – Thermal Lab (Simultaneous Thermal Analysis equipment with backup facilities) lab.
Forth –Various research equipments related like UV, IR spectroscopy, Impedance spectroscopy etc. are optional in the Lab
Fifth – This Lab will have various research equipments related to adv. Research areas like XRD, particle analyzer, SEM etc.) .
One day workshop on “”Lab Governance”
A one day workshop on “Lab Governance” was organized on 28/06/2013 by Central Instrumentation Laboratory, DCRUST, Murthal. Dr. S.K. Varshney, Scientist ‘F’, DST, Delhi was the inaugural speaker of the event. He presented his views on maintenance, calibration of instruments and strongly state that wrong Calibrations can destroy all results taken from various studies and their impact on society is unforgettable. The workshop was inaugurated by Sh. R. K. Arora, Registrar, DCRUST, Murthal. He emphasized on importance of Experimental Science which is backbone of research in every area and administration is all providing their support for such kind workshop in university. The coordinator of CIL Dr. Satish Khasa explain the motive of workshop i.e. “Lab governance” and explain how we can improve our skills and good lab practices to in-rich our research/ regular labs. Dr. Prem Chand, Director P. M. Institute of Engineering & Technology, Kami shares his views on advance research techniques and told that no university/ institute can represent him at the global level until they have good research facilities’ and DCRUST Murthal is perusing this at good pace. In the workshop Dr. Manoj Duhan, Electronics and Communication Engineering, DCRUST, Murthal motivated the technical staff by his innovative lecture on ‘Ethics in Lab’. All the participants were given demonstrations & practical experiences of various instruments in different laboratories.
National conference on “Advances in Multidisciplinary Aspects of Science & Engineering(AMASE 2016)”, Nov. 23, 2016
About The Conference
The scientific, engineering and technological progressions in modern age have facilitated the human life in multiple dimensions. We feel highly encouraged while utilizing the variety of services encompassed by recent advances in science and engineering. AMASE-2016 is aimed at providing a platform to Scientists, Industrialists, Academicians, Researchers and Students to share their innovative ideas and results via abstracts presentations. The outstanding abstracts will be appreciated.
