Academic Programs Offered
The Department of Management Studies currently offers following programs:
Masters in Business Administration (with dual specialization)
Annual Intake: 90 (45 + 45) Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)
Specializations Offered: Industry oriented curriculum offering dual specialization in any two of Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Production & Technology Management, and Information Technology
Eligibility: The admissions to the program are open for the person who possess:
Bachelor’s or Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto; OR S/he shall have passed final Examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/Institute of Costs and Works accountants of India/Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
Masters in Business Administration (Information Technology Management)
Annual Intake: 30 Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)
Specializations Offered: Industry oriented curriculum offering dual specialization wherein candidates have option to choose a specialization from any one of Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, International Business and Production & Technology Management, the other being the mandatory Information Technology.
Eligibility: The admissions to the program are open for the person who possess:
B. Tech. / B.E. / AMIE / MCA / MSC (IT/Comp. Sc.) / M.SC. (Physics / Mathematics / Statistics / Economics) / M.A. (Economics/ Psychology / Mathematics) / M.Com / BCA / B.Sc. (Com. Sc.) / BBA or any equivalent degree (as deemed fit considered by the equivalence committee of the University) in any branch from any Indian University included in the approved list of the Association of Indian University or any foreign University recognized by the Academic Council of the University for purpose of admission to this course securing at least 50% marks in aggregate or appropriate grade equivalent to 50% marks in credit based system.
Masters in Hospital Administration (Week-end course)
Annual Intake: 20 + 5 sponsored seats Duration: 3 Years (6 Semesters)
Specializations Offered: Industry oriented curriculum offering dual specialization wherein candidates have option to choose a specialization from any one of Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, International Business and Production & Technology Management, the other being the mandatory Information Technology.
Eligibility: The admissions to the program are open for the person who possess:
MD/ MS/ MDS/ MBBS/ BDS / BAMS/ B.VSc. / BPT/ B.Pharma / BHMS or any equivalent degree (as deemed fit considered by the equivalence committee of the University) in any branch from any Indian University included in the approved list of the Association of Indian University or any foreign University recognized by the Academic Council of the University for purpose of admission to this course securing at least 50% marks in aggregate or appropriate grade equivalent to 50% marks in credit based system.
Doctoral Research Program (Ph.D. in Management)
Besides regular academic programs the Department also offers full-time and part-time PhD program in the field of Management Studies. The specialization areas where research can be pursued includes, but are not limited to, Finance, Strategic Management, Marketing, IT & eCommerce, Technology Management, Knowledge Management, Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, International Business, Hospital and Healthcare Administration and other interdisciplinary areas.
The Department offers one Sir CV Raman Research Scholarship for deserving and bonafide resident admitted as full-time student for normal duration of PhD programme.
Executive Education Programs
The Department is well appreciative of the fact that the organization across the globe are increasing under pressure to perform in a highly competitive and dynamic business environment. The organizations need their business executives to be highly responsive to these pressures. The Department offers Management Development Programs and Short-term Executive Programs for working executives and management practitioners to foster key skills to critically examine the business issues by developing enterprise wide understanding and building performance-driven perspective. The MDP focuses on providing and identifying areas of business activities that will enhance individual leadership as well as organizational effectiveness that will reflect in organization’s bottomline results.
